What are the requirements?

4.8+ review average, 95%+ on-time shipping, 95%+ message response (within 24h), and at least 10 orders + $300 in the rolling 3-month evaluation period.

When does Etsy evaluate?

On the 1st of each month, based on the previous 3 months. Check your progress in Shop Manager.

Can I lose the badge?

Yes. If any metric drops below threshold during an evaluation, you lose it immediately. One bad month can cost it.

Does it affect search ranking?

Etsy says not directly. But the metrics that earn Star Seller (fast shipping, good reviews, responsiveness) are independent ranking factors anyway.

How many 5-star reviews do I need?

Formula: needed = (4.8 × total - current_avg × total) / 0.2. With 50 reviews at 4.7 average, you need ~5 consecutive 5-stars. This calculator does the math for you.
